Any reason not to go ahead with defining it in ib_verbs.h and using it 
in RDS?
Just a little background on the source for ib_dma_XXX calls: some HCA's 
have non regularities in respect to their DMA related capabilities, and 
they actually implement these calls, for the rest (eg all the Mellanox 
cards) ib_dma_XXX just maps to dma_XXX
