Hi,
Don't waste your time on oracle's enterprise linux. Wastes 3 weeks 
thereabout on the issue you are facing and no one told me the issue is with 
the Enterprise Linux and didn't occur to me either till i decided to use 
CENT OS 4.2 instead. Download and burn free from there website 
http://www.centos.org/.
