And this is the exact reason we recommend partitioning the LUN.  Some 
tools (I forget which) will look for this GPT label and backup partition 
table if the first sector doesn't contain a valid partition table (but 
perhaps an OCFS2 or ASM label), and "restore" the GPT backup partition 
table that is in the last sectors of the LUN, trashing the OCFS2 / ASM 
label.
