Hi List,
This is my first post to this list. Just a little background info.
We are a zVM 5.2 , SLES10 shop running on an IBM z9 mainframe.
We also have Oracle 10gR2 running on a couple of our Linux guests.
I am now looking into using ocfs2 as our clustering software, first for
non-database files and once that's under our belt, for oracle database
files.

I have just setup on one of our linux guests ( node 1 ) with 3 ocfs2 (
disks ) files.
File 1 and 2 are supposed to be the OCR and the voting disk, mounted with
"datavolume,nointr" options .
The 3rd file is a supposed to be a normal unix filesystem, mounted without
any options

Now the questions.
1. Is this the right list for all ocfs2 questions ?
2. If I was to create a second node, what files should this node have,
all 3 files or just file 3 . In other words, should the OCR and voting
disk appear on all nodes ?
3. With the addition of the 2nd node, can I still use the disk based
heartbeat mechanism or must I convert to user space heartbeat ( which will
bring another slew of questions ).

All replies are welcome, either off-list or to the list.

TIA
Bernie Wu
