[Ocfs2-users] Kernel Panic - OCFS2

Hi All,

Have just installed OCFS2 as a test on a server I am planning on rolling out
a clusterFS onto.

The server(s) will be running FC5 and are standard HP DL360 G5's, have a
Qlogic iSCSI HBA inside (QLA4010C) and connect to an EMC Clariion array.

We hope to have some sort of central storage area for our builds (this is a
Linux software development shop), that multiple servers can attach to. My
developers connect via SSH mostly and compile direct.

Having installed OCFS2 on one server, when I try and compile one of our
target apps (is a pared down Linux kernel build), my OCFS2 box panics, with
the *Kernel panic - not syncing...* message, exactly as per no 72 on the
FAQ. Just as a test I tried the example workaround (adding elevator=...) to
the kernel command line, however the same results.

We are presently using...
Distro - FC5
Kernel - 2.6.16-1.2122_FC5
OCFS2 Tools - 1.2.1

As mentioned its presently a cluster of one (just as a test to create an
initial benchmark), I presume this is OK.

Any ideas on how to fix this??? Do I need a later kernel/ocfs2 pack or is
there another way???

I have attached a screen grab from our KVM-IP of the trace, if that's any
help.

TIA

Dan
