Pitchfork is a metadata translater that translates the Java EE metadata to Spring metadata. It enables the WebLogic Server to use Spring Framework performing JSR-250 dependency injection, annotation processing and EJB 3.0-style interception. It also provides the dependency injection extension to WebLogic Server Java EE components based on standard Spring descriptors.
