[Ocfs2-users] Is the order important when installing ocfs2 and Oracle RAC?

You can use raw devices ( char dev ) or block devices if your oracle
binaries has O_DIRECT ( 10gR2 has it by default iirc ) for oracle
clusterware.

AS far as I understand, Nicholas asked if we have an existing RAC ( for
example under ASM ) and in a point in time you want to use ocfs2 to
share some filesystems ( comes to my mind the UTL_FILE_DIR ). If this
assumption is correct, you can install/configure/use RAC with ASM and
some time after you can install ocfs2 and configure it without touching
nothing from RAC infrastructure/environment.
