User specified heartbeat=xx mount option is ignored. The mount option
is added by the mount.ocfs2 merely to inform the user as to how the
fs has been mounted.

You cannot mount the fs on multiple nodes without the lock manager
even if only one node is writing to the fs. Afterall, the nodes reading
need to be informed that the fs is morphing under them and that they
need to refresh the updated inodes.

Instead, expand on the problem you encountered with the lock manager.
There are lots of people running the fs on more than the 3 nodes that you
have.

Best would be to file a bugzilla with the details.
