Hello,

I need some help with oracle rac installation.

I am currently stuck at the mounting of ocfs2 at both the nodes.

For your knowledge the mounting worked for the first time and ocfs2 was
mounted on both the nodes.

But after i restarted the systems the mounting started creating issues.

Now, the problem is the same that all the other people have been reporting
"Transport endpoint is not connected while mounting ...".

I have checked everything referred on different sites.

1. Firewall is turned off on both the mahcines.
2. ping on public and private ips from/to both machines works fine.
3. cluster.conf on both nodes is same.

What I have noticed is that, considering ocfs2 is already mounted on node1,
i run the mount command from node2, now on this node1 hangs and node2
returns with the transport endpoint not connected error.

The DMESG gives the following

o2net: accepted connection from node linux2 (num 1) at 192.168.1.136:7777
o2net: connection to node linux2 (num 1) at 192.168.1.136:7777 has been idle
for 10.0 seconds, shutting it down.
(0,0):o2net_idle_timer:1418 here are some times that might help debug the
situation: (tmr 1207159994.938241 now 1207160004.936275 dr 1207159994.938236
adv 1207159994.938243:1207159994.938244 func (00000000:0) 0.0:0.0)
o2net: no longer connected to node linux2 (num 1) at 192.168.1.136:7777

I am using Oracle Enterprise Linux kernel 2.6.9-55.0.0.0.2.ELsmp.
ocfs2 versions:
ocfs2-tools-devel-1.2.4-1
ocfs2console-1.2.4-1
ocfs2-2.6.9-55.0.0.0.2.ELsmp-1.2.5-1
ocfs2-tools-1.2.4-1

Any idea what could be wrong here. PLease guide me.

Thanks.

Rahim Rattani.
