[Ocfs2-users] Exceeding the limit to the number of subdirectories in a directory?

The number of subdirs is not going to cause lockups. Have you tried
dumping the kernel stack during one such lockup. alt-sysrq-t

Have a netconsole server setup to trap the stack.
