[Ocfs2-users] o2fsck_mark_cluster_allocated: Internal logicfaliure!! duplicate cluster

I think things could be very broken on our shared disk.

(BTW, versions are ocfs-tools v1.2.4 and ocsf2 v1.2.5)

I finally managed to get fsck to run without -F, but I am still seeing
loads of the aforementioned error messages during pass2, and each time I
run fsck the same errors for the same clusters/files are repeated.

Some stuff has been recovered to lost+found, but there are a load of
broken file/dir entries that I cannot do anything with, as the error
messages from fsck.

If I 'ls -al' one of the broken files it seems all the meta-information
has gone.

e.g.

ls -al

?--------- ? ? ? ?
hmmer.hmm

I can't chown, chmod, delete or mv these files (as root) as I get
'permission denied' errors.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Kind regards

Paul Fretter

To be a bit more specific, when I try to run fcsk.ocfs2 like this I get
an error

#fsck.ocfs2 -yf /dev/sde

fsck.ocfs2: Trylock failed while locking down the cluster

So in desperation I am running it with -F as well.

There is no-one else using the cluster.

Kind regards

Help!

I have 10 nodes:

Ocfs2 1.2.4

RHEL4 U4 (AMD64)

Kernel 2.6.9-42.ELsmp

While running fsck.ocfs2 I am getting a lot of these.

o2fsck_mark_cluster_allocated: Internal logic faliure !! duplicate
cluster <bunch of numbers>

Then I get a deluge of "Bad magic number in inode while trying to verify
the type of directory entry <filename>"

Is fsck failing to fix things, or is there something else wrong?

Each time I re-run fsck it happens again, although the list is gradually
getting shorter.

Anyone got any ideas what I've done wrong?

Kind regards

Paul Fretter
