Hello,
are you sure that /dev/hda5 is a shared Disk which is physically
connected to both nodes?
You can't use ocfs2 to share a partition which is only connected to a
single node. You need a iSCSI / Firewire / Dual-Port SCSI / FC solution,
or at least a networ exorted block device to use ocfs2.

Subject: [Ocfs2-users] Problems with OCFS2 and Oracle 10g
Hi everyone. I'm trying to configure Oracle 10g RAC o PCs cluster. I
have some problems while install and configure of OCFS2.
Here is information:
On ds1 node:
[root at ds1 /]# /etc/init.d/o2cb status
Module "configfs": Loaded
Filesystem "configfs": Mounted
Module "ocfs2_nodemanager": Loaded
Module "ocfs2_dlm": Loaded
Module "ocfs2_dlmfs": Loaded
Filesystem "ocfs2_dlmfs": Mounted
Checking cluster ocfs2: Online
Checking heartbeat: Active
[root at ds1 /]# mounted.ocfs2 -f
Device FS Nodes
/dev/hda5 ocfs2 ds1
[root at ds1 /]#
On ds2 node:
[root at ds2 /]# /etc/init.d/o2cb status
Module "configfs": Loaded
Filesystem "configfs": Mounted
Module "ocfs2_nodemanager": Loaded
Module "ocfs2_dlm": Loaded
Module "ocfs2_dlmfs": Loaded
Filesystem "ocfs2_dlmfs": Mounted
Checking cluster ocfs2: Online
Checking heartbeat: Not Active
I have done the configure using ocfs2console with my two cluster nodes.
But I think that ds2-node could not mount on shared parition on ds1
node.
How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
regards,
