Hi, all.
My name is Kenichiro Ochi, in Oracle Japan Support.
Customer examines upgrading OCFS from 1.0.9-12 to 1.0.14-1.
And customer asked us a question about the way of downgrading to 1.0.9-12.
(customer presumes a case in case after the upgrade.)
We tested the following...
0.After the upgrade
1.umount OCFS volume on all nodes
2.uninstall rpm (V1.0.14-1)
# rpm -e ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1
# rpm -e ocfs-2.4.9-e-1.0.14-1
# rpm -e ocfs-support-1.0.10-1
3.install rpm (V1.0.9-12)
# rpm -ivh ocfs-support-1.0.9-12.i686.rpm
# rpm -ivh ocfs-2.4.9-e-1.0.9-12.i686.rpm
# rpm -ivh ocfs-tools-1.0.9-12.i686.rpm
Actually, there was no problem in the behaviour with this procedure.
And, I comfirmed this README.
This readme says "Running a mix of nodes with 1.0.9 or earlier
and 1.0.14 is NOT recommended."
But, as for the downgrading from 1.0.14-1 to 1.0.9-12,
there is no description in this document.
Expert, Is there a problem with the above procedure?
I would appreciate it if I could receive feedback on it
at your earliest convenience.
Since I'm not in the mailing list, please reply directly back to me.
Thank you in advance.
Thanks
Kenichiro
