[Oracle NoSQL Database Announce] Announcing: Oracle NoSQL Database 12c (12.1.2.1.54)

[Announcements related to the Oracle NoSQL Database.]

We are very pleased to announce the availability of Release 12cR1 
(12.1.2.1.54) of the Oracle NoSQL Database. This release consists 
several new features, improvements as well as a number of important bug 
fixes. We strongly recommend that users upgrade to this release. These 
new changes, features and fixes include:

- Apache 2.0 license for Client Driver: Oracle NoSQL Database Client 
Software Library is now licensed pursuant to the Apache 2.0 license to 
accelerate product adoption and third party products integration with 
Oracle NoSQL Database. Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition 
(EE) server license is unchanged and is compatible with the new client 
driver.

- Parallel Scans for improved performance: Parallel scans provide 4x to 
6x performance improvement over the earlier versions.

- Availability and failover document: It explains the general concepts 
and issues surrounding data availability when using Oracle NoSQL Database.

- Improved fault resilience: Fixed an issue where a replication node 
would not restart automatically if the directory containing its data 
files were removed, or its data files were corrupted, but were later 
repaired.

- Faster client response to failure: Made changes to the NoSQL client 
library to adapt to replication node failure more rapidly by retrying or 
forwarding data requests when it detects that its original target is 
unavailable.

- Reduced recovery time: of a replication node to become up to date and 
available when it has fallen significantly behind due to downtime or to 
network communication failure.
