    We are very pleased to announce the availability of Release 12c
    (12.1.2.1.8) of the Oracle NoSQL Database. Please forward this
    announcement to your organizations, as appropriate.

    Oracle NoSQL Database 12.1.2.1.8 is a quarterly release consisting
    of several new features, improvements as well as a number of
    important bug fixes. We strongly recommend that users upgrade to
    this release. These new features and fixes include:

      * _Data Center support_. The Administration CLI now permits the
        creation of a single NoSQL database cluster that can span across
        multiple data centers. This change makes it possible to deploy
        database clusters such that the failure of a single data center
        does not result in the loss of write availability for any shard.
      * _Online Rolling Upgrades_. A utility that calculates a
        cluster-wide upgrade sequence and provides a script that can
        automate an incremental patch upgrade to ensure zero downtime
        and full availability of the database cluster through the entire
        upgrade process.
      * _Interactive Data CLI_. The ability to put, get, delete data
        from a command line interface with an integrated history
        function for a developer-friendly experience. This allows the
        end user to use Oracle NoSQL Database interactively.
      * _Performance enhancements_. Significant enhancements to the
        group commit implementation for transactions which can result in
        the following performance benefits:
          o Insert-only workloads - Up to 4X improvement in throughput
          o Mixed workloads (95% reads and 5% writes) - Up to 60%
            improvement in throughput.
      * _Index Views_: Dedicated documentation

        that covers various design patterns and best practices to create
        application-managed secondary indexes for fast access to records
        via minor keys.
