Synopsis: CU-2.6.18-028stab068.5 can now be patched using Ksplice
Systems running Virtuozzo 4 or the OpenVZ for EL5 kernel can now use
Ksplice to patch against the latest Parallels Virtuozzo Containers kernel
update, CU-2.6.18-028stab068.5.
Please note that the bugs corrected by these updates were introduced in
the stab068.3 kernel, and so there are no new updates available for
machines running older kernels.
INSTALLING THE UPDATES
We recommend that all Ksplice Uptrack Virtuozzo 4 and OpenVZ for EL5
users install these updates. You can install these updates by
running:
# uptrack-upgrade -y
DESCRIPTION
* Memory leak on failure to create a virtual environment.
The uid hash table for a new environment was leaked whenever the
environment creation process failed after the uid hash table was
allocated.
* Nonsense container load average statistics.
The stab068.3 kernel introduced a bug that caused container load
average statistics to be wrong (often negative).
