Synopsis: USN-974-2 can now be patched using Ksplice

Systems running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy can now use Ksplice to patch against
the latest Ubuntu Security Notice, USN-974-2.


INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all Ksplice Uptrack Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy users install
these updates.  You can install these updates by running:

# uptrack-upgrade -y


DESCRIPTION

* Fix mlock regression introduced by CVE-2010-2240 fix.

The upstream patch for CVE-2010-2240 introduced a possible kernel crash
when privileged applications such as the Xen userspace tools use mlock
on portions of the stack.
