[Ksplice][Ubuntu-20.04-Updates] New Ksplice updates for Ubuntu 20.04 Focal (5.4.0-182.202)

Synopsis: 5.4.0-182.202 can now be patched using Ksplice
CVEs: CVE-2023-47233 CVE-2023-52530 CVE-2024-26614 CVE-2024-26622

Systems running Ubuntu 20.04 Focal can now use Ksplice to patch
against the latest Ubuntu kernel update, 5.4.0-182.202.

INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack running Ubuntu 20.04
Focal install these updates.

On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.

Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:

# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y


DESCRIPTION

* CVE-2024-26614: Denial-of-service during TCP handshake.

A locking error during TCP handshake could lead to a race condition. A
local attacker could use this flaw to cause a denial-of-service.


* CVE-2023-47233: Privilege escalation when unplugging Broadcom FullMAC WLAN device.

A race condition when unplugging Broadcom FullMAC WLAN USB device during
initialization could lead to a use-after-free. A local attacker could
use this flaw to escalate privileges or facilitate an attack.


* CVE-2023-52530: Privilege escalation when adding a key in Generic IEEE 802.11 Networking Stack (mac80211).

A missing check when adding a key in Generic IEEE 802.11 Networking
Stack (mac80211) could lead to a use-after-free. A local attacker could
use this flaw to escalate privileges or facilitate an attack.


* CVE-2024-26622: Privilege escalation when using Tomoyo subsystem.

A locking error when using Tomoyo sysfs interface could lead to a
use-after-free. A local attacker could use this flaw to escalate
privileges or facilitate an attack.
