Systems running Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick can now use Ksplice to patch

INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack on Ubuntu 10.10
Maverick install these updates. You can install these updates by
running:

# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y

On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any additional action.

DESCRIPTION

* CVE-2011-1927: Remote denial of service in ICMP.

In the icmp_send function in net/ipv4/icmp.c, a parameter passed to
the dev_net function is not properly validated. A remote attacker can
exploit this to cause denial of service via NULL pointer dereference.

* CVE-2011-0716: Memory corruption in IGMP bridge snooping.

IGMP packets sent on a bridged interface could cause corruption
in 512-byte slabs, most commonly leading to crashes in jbd2.

* CVE-2011-3619: Null pointer dereference in AppArmor.

A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's AppArmor
audit logging code. An attacker could exploit this to cause a denial of
service.
