[Ksplice][RHEL7-Updates] New Ksplice updates for RHEL 7 (3.10.0-1160.119.1.0.6.el7)

Synopsis: 3.10.0-1160.119.1.0.6.el7 can now be patched using Ksplice
CVEs: CVE-2024-53104

Systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 can now use Ksplice to
patch against the latest Red Hat kernel update,
3.10.0-1160.119.1.0.6.el7.

INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack running RHEL 7 install
these updates.

On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.

Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:

# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y


DESCRIPTION

* CVE-2024-53104: Privilege escalation in USB Video Class driver.

A missing check when using the UVC driver could lead to an out-of-bounds
memory write. A local attacker could use this flaw to escalate
privileges.
