Synopsis: RHSA-2013:0847-1 can now be patched using Ksplice
Systems running RHCK on Oracle Linux 5, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5,
CentOS 5, Scientific Linux 5, and CentOSPlus 5 can now use Ksplice to
patch against the latest Red Hat Security Advisory, RHSA-2013:0847-1.
INSTALLING THE UPDATES
We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack on OL5, RHEL 5, CentOS
5, Scientific Linux 5, and CentOSPlus 5 install these updates.
On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.
Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:
# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y
The only security fix in this advisory, CVE-2013-0153 only updates the
Xen hypervisor which is not part of the Linux kernel. Customers running
Xen hosts will need to reboot to get the latest hypervisor updates.
DESCRIPTION
* Data corruption on NFSv3/v2 short reads.
Reading small amounts of data using NFSv3/v2 would cause data corruption in
the read data.
