Synopsis: ELBA-2016-3511 can now be patched using Ksplice
Users with Oracle Linux Premier Support can now use Ksplice to patch
against the latest Oracle kernel update, ELBA-2016-3511.
INSTALLING THE UPDATES
We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack on EL 7 install these
updates.
On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.
Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:
# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y
DESCRIPTION
* Possible deadlock in mlx4_vnic when flush is not needed.
Mellanox Technologies VNIC driver has a possible deadlock when a flush
was not needed during restarting of a discovery.
* Incorrect access control check in keyctl get_persistent.
Non-privileged callers to keyctl_get_persistent would receive an EPERM
error when requesting access their own persistent keyctl cache.
* Deadlock when syncing frozen filesystem.
Broken lock ordering could cause a deadlock when sync attempts to drop
unused inodes on a frozen filesystem.
SUPPORT
Ksplice support is available at ksplice-support_ww at oracle.com.
