Enterprise Linux Bug Fix Advisory ELBA-2008-2012

The following updated rpms for Enterprise Linux 5 have been uploaded to 
the Unbreakable Linux Network:

i386:
kmod-xenpv-0.1-9.0.2.el5.i686.rpm
kmod-xenpv-PAE-0.1-9.0.2.el5.i686.rpm

x86_64:
kmod-xenpv-0.1-9.0.2.el5.x86_64.rpm

Description of changes:

[0.1-9.0.2]
- Add patch to add polling support to netfront driver 
(tina.yang at oracle.com> [bugz 7258]

[0.1-9.0.1]
- Add patch to fix guest hang on migration (mukesh.rathor at oracle.com> 
[bugz 7262]


NOTE

Installation Steps:

    Option A
     1. Before running up2date modify pkgsToInstallNotUpdate entry in
    /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date to remove
        kernel-modules

         e.g.
        change
           pkgsToInstallNotUpdate=kernel;kernel-modules;kernel-devel;
        to
           pkgsToInstallNotUpdate=kernel;kernel-devel;

     2. After updating to the latest PV drivers regenerate boot image
    (boot/initrd-<kernel-version>.img and
        reboot system
     
          e.g.
             mkinitrd --with=xen-vbd --with=xen-vnif --omit-scsi-modules
                  /boot/initrd-2.6.18-92.1.17.0.2.el5.img
    2.6.18-92.1.17.0.2.el5

    Option B
     1.   If already updated to new PV driver, remove the older version
    of the xen PV driver

        e.g.
          # rpm -ev kmod-xenpv-0.1-9.el5

     2. Regenarte boot image (initrd-<kernel-version>.img) and reboot
    system with new image.
     
        e.g.
           mkinitrd --with=xen-vbd --with=xen-vnif --omit-scsi-modules
              /boot/initrd-2.6.18-92.1.17.0.2.el5.img 2.6.18-92.1.17.0.2.el5
