That`s great. Keep benchmarking :-) Although I`m no sure whether extratcting
a kernel source is a benchmark significant for real-world performance.
Do you plan to adjust or expand the portfolio of measurements and include
other tests, such as IOZone and Postmark? Second, you do not mention what
was the average file size. Several file systems from your test, namely Btrfs,
ReiserFS and Reiser4, claim to be efficient in dealing with very small files.
Hence a benmark that simulates such a workload should not be missing
in your test suite. Well, at least in my opinion.
