Oracle NoSQL Database Version 4.2 - New Features

.         Arbiters - An optional, light-weight mechanism that can ensure write availability even with two copies of data (RF =2).

.         Contraction -Allows online shrinking of the cluster in response to reduced storage and throughput requirements.

.         Password Complexity - Enables administrators to set up policies that enforce strong user passwords for secure access to NoSQL data stores.

.         Storage Size Based Topology Layout  - Allows the disks to be optimally utilized on a system where nodes within a system have different disk size capacity.

Oracle NoSQL Database continues to enable innovative applications that require very fast access to data and flexible interfaces.

.         Integrated - Connect with many other Oracle products for a complete, productive environment.

.         Fast - Utilizes parallelism at a number of levels

.         Flexible - Flexible schema, is not predefined

.         Simple to implement - Setup, Admin and Integration is straightforward.

.         Reliable - built-in data replication and HA support for availability and business continuity.

.         Scalable - Add more servers to handle more data and throughput with zero down-time.
