[BDB 11gR2 Beta] [#18298] First Questions about DBD 11gR2

Hi folks,

 

                My name is Luis Paolini and I'm glad to be part of the Beta
Test Team for Oracle BDB 11gR2.

I got Oracle Berkeley DB 11gR2 Beta release and read the documentation
available.

                The main interest is use BDB with Oracle ADF Applications.
So, we will be focused on JDBC and SQL support.

                I used to work with BDB in windows systems and develop
applications in java. Up to now, all that I had to do was to import BDB jar
file into a JDeveloper project.

                How to proceed with this beta release to get started? Here
are some questions.

 

1.       Is necessary to build the BDB source files? I've seen a DotNet
project in the folder \build_windows.

2.       How to get the BDB jar file?

3.       How to configure BDB to support SQL? I read about a configuration
script but just found a version for Unix.

4.       The SQLite data types are supported by Oracle ADF?

5.       I've checked the documentation and found no information about JDBC
access to the database. Are there any documentations about this topic?

This is the entry point for ADF Business Components creation.

 



 

6.       Are there any examples using BDB SQLite Interfaces?
