If you are an administrator for your organization, consult the topics in this section to make sure you have the necessary requirements to run Oracle Mozilla eXtension on your network, and to customize Oracle Mozilla eXtension for your users.
Oracle Collaboration Suite 10gR1
Oracle Internet Directory iAS 10.1.2.0.2 patch 4504434 on Linux x86. (You must have an Oracle MetaLink account to download this patch.)
Open omx-1.2.xpi with an archive application such as WinZip and extract omx-config.properties onto your hard drive.
Make the following changes to omx-config.properties:
Set collab.emailSuffixes to your e-mail suffix; for example:
collab.emailSuffixes=collabtng.visioncorp.com
Set ldap.autocomplete.directory to the LDAP directory used for automatic completion; for example:
ldap.autocomplete.directory=omxsharedabook
Set ldap.host to your LDAP host name; for example:
ldap.host=ldap.visioncorp.com
Add the modified omx-config.properties file back into the omx-1.2.xpi archive.
Users can update Oracle Mozilla eXtension using Mozilla's updater feature.
|
Note: For more information on Mozilla's extension updating capability, navigate to:http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/extensions/update.html |
Customize the Oracle Mozilla eXtension updater for your organization as follows:
Edit the following line in install.rdf and change the URL to the URL where update.rdf will be stored on the network:
<!-- CONFIG: This is the URL for an update file. -->
<em:updateURL>http://webserver/path/update.rdf</em:updateURL>
This will enable the update feature of Thunderbird to use the online version of update.rdf to find the latest version of Oracle Mozilla eXtension.
Edit the following line in update.rdf so that it points to the customized XPI file:
<!-- CONFIG: This is the location of the updated XPI package. --> <em:updateLink>http://webserver/path/omx-filename.xpi</em:updateLink>
Add the modified update.rdf file to the XPI package stored on the network.
The following are the requirements for installing and using Oracle Mozilla eXtension on your computer.

Windows 2000
Windows XP (Home or Professional)
