The ocfs2 packages provided by apt-get includes the "o2cb_ctl" and "<span style="color:rgb(84,84,84);font-family:Roboto,arial,sans-serif">ocfs2console" </span>utilities.</div><div><br></div><div>my Ubuntu servers do not have a GUI so I can't use the graphical "<span style="color:rgb(84,84,84);font-family:Roboto,arial,sans-serif">ocfs2console" utility.</span><br></div><div><br></div><div>I can use the "o2cb_ctl" -C option to add nodes to the cluster config.</div><div><br></div><div><div> -C Create an object in the OCFS2 Cluster Configuration.</div><div><br></div><div>But it seems the "o2cb_ctl" -D option, to remove a node, is not implemented in this version of the tool</div><div><br></div><div> -D Delete an object from the existing OCFS2 Cluster Configuration.</div></div><div><div><br></div><div>root@node-9:~# o2cb_ctl -D -n node-6 -u</div><div>o2cb_ctl: Not yet supported</div></div><div><br></div><div>But I need to remove a number of old nodes that no longer exist. I was just leaving the old nodes in there and adding in new nodes, but now I need to add a node which has the same ip address as one of the old nodes.... so, I need to delete that old node.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color:rgb(84,84,84);font-family:Roboto,arial,sans-serif">it seems to me there would be a manual way to do this. change the cluster.conf file and apply the changes on the fly.
