did you type  /etc/init.d/ocfs start

you don't need patches for ocfs support, not sure what you mean
ocfs is a kernel module fro the filesystem and the patch for multiple
login support is just for firewire they are independent, if you download
the kernel rpm's from the website then you don't need any patches
