Customers using Ksplice on Enterprise Linux systems should update the
Ksplice Uptrack client to the latest version (1.2.12).

INSTALLING THE UPDATE

To install the update, please run:

    yum upgrade uptrack

DESCRIPTION

EL 6.4 introduced a new version of dracut which requires changes in
the way that Ksplice Uptrack updates the on-disk modules. Potential
impact includes the system becoming unable to boot into the 6.4
kernel.

FIXING UNBOOTABLE KERNEL

If you are unable to boot into a new kernel after upgrading to 6.4
then do the following:

  * boot into an older kernel
  * upgrade Uptrack as instructed above
  * run the following (replacing the string with the kernel version you
    are booting into):

    dracut --force "" 2.6.32-358.0.1.el6.x86_64
