Synopsis:  FEDORA-2017-98548b066b can now be patched using Ksplice

Systems running Fedora 25 can now use Ksplice to patch against the
latest Fedora kernel update,  FEDORA-2017-98548b066b.

INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack running Fedora 25
install these updates.

On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.

Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:

# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y


DESCRIPTION

* Timing attack vulnerability in RSA PKCS1 Padding algorithm.

Incorrectly utilizing a variable-time algorithm when generating padding
for PKCS1 encryption could allow an attacker to develop a time-based
attack against its generated keys.


* Use-after-free in message queue notify syscall.

A race condition when closing a message queue file descriptor could
cause the memory for the associated socket to be freed twice, corrupting
memory or causing a denial-of-service.
