Synopsis: RHBA-2018:3763 can now be patched using Ksplice

Systems running RHCK on Oracle Linux 6, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6,
CentOS 6, and Scientific Linux 6 can now use Ksplice to patch against
the latest Red Hat Bug Fix Advisory, RHBA-2018:3763.

INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack running OL 6, RHEL 6,
CentOS 6, and Scientific Linux 6 install these updates.

On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.

Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:

# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y

DESCRIPTION

* Denial-of-service when cleaning block device queue.

When cleaning up a queue for a block device, the associated lock for the
queue might change, resulting in the queue being potentially
unsynchronized. This could result in a kernel panic and
denial-of-service.

SUPPORT

Ksplice support is available at ksplice-support_ww at oracle.com.
