Synopsis: 2.6.32-379.1.1.lve1.1.7.6 can now be patched using Ksplice
CVEs: CVE-2011-4131 CVE-2012-2744 CVE-2012-2745

Systems running CloudLinux 6 can now use Ksplice to patch against the
latest CloudLinux 6 kernel update, 2.6.32-379.1.1.lve1.1.7.6.

INSTALLING THE UPDATES

We recommend that all users of Ksplice Uptrack on CloudLinux 6 install
these updates.

On systems that have "autoinstall = yes" in /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf,
these updates will be installed automatically and you do not need to
take any action.

Alternatively, you can install these updates by running:

# /usr/sbin/uptrack-upgrade -y

DESCRIPTION

* CVE-2011-4131: Kernel crash in NFSv4.

nfs4_getfacl decoding causes a kernel crash when a server returns more
than 2 GETATTR bitmap words in response to the FATTR4_ACL attribute
request.

* CVE-2012-2745: Denial-of-service in kernel key management.

A potential double-free of the replacement session keyring on fork()
could result in a denial-of-service by a local, unprivileged user.

* CVE-2012-2744: Remote denial-of-service in IPv6 connection tracking.

A flaw in the IPv6 connection tracking netfilter module could allow a
remote attacker to trigger a NULL pointer dereference and
denial-of-service with specially crafted IPv6 packets.

* Kernel crash on live migration.

Incorrect ordering between restoring registers and task flags could
result in a kernel crash when migrating between nodes.
