+An init.d script is installed in /etc/init.d. To start
+hanicd at bootup, add it to the appropiate runlevels, e.g. by

+In /etc/hanic edit the cmcfg and the haniccfg files. Remove the '#'
+at the beginning of the line of the paramaters and add the correct
+values for your setup,
+
+1. In cmcfg edit the PrivateNodeNames parameter. This is a list of
+all the nodes in the cluster. It may also contain the local node.
+hanicd will ping these nodes and switch to a different device if needed.
+
+This file may be a link to the oracle cmcfg. In this case the PrivateNodeNames
+parameter will be filtered from that file (the other oracle params will be ignored)
+
+2. In orahacfg the Sleep parameter defines the number of seconds to sleep
+between pings. This can be a value smaller then 1.
+The Interfaces parameter defines the network interfaces to be used for
+failover. First the first interface listed is used, if there are no
+ping responses from any other node, hanicd will switch to the next
+interface etc.
